Welcome to the Tillamook area, Nature’s Playground of the Oregon Coast. The Northern Oregon Coast features some of the most breathtaking scenery, activities and attractions that this area of the world has to offer. During your exploration, you will find that the Tillamook area has it all.

If you are an outdoor enthusiast, you will fall in love with the Tillamook area. It is home to more than a dozen mapped and maintained hiking trails, more than 800 miles of navigable waters for the kayak enthusiast and not to forget the crabbing, clamming and fishing that takes place in our very own Tillamook and Netarts Bays.

Feel the need to relax and take in the scenery? The Tillamook area is home to the famous Three Capes Scenic Loop. On this drive you will find breathtaking views of the ocean, the Three Arch Rocks, Netarts Bay and Haystack Rock in Pacific City. No matter where you go in Tillamook, there will be scenery to be had. We are a photographer’s paradise.

Half a dozen museums in the area are waiting for you to see just how great the history of the area is. History buffs will be in awe of the rare war-bird collection at the Tillamook Naval Air Museum and will catch themselves engulfed in the delicate history of the city of Garibaldi at the Garibaldi Maritime Museum.

Calling all foodies! Tillamook is home to the Tillamook Cheese Factory, Blue Heron French Cheese Company, Debbie D’s Sausage Factory, Pacific Oyster, Tillamook County Smoker, Werner’s Gourmet meat and many restaurants serving local fare; your taste buds are sure to go wild. Be sure to bring your appetite!

    During a free, self-guided tour, you’ll get to see videos, historical displays and interactive kiosks about Tillamook. You’ll even get a behind the scenes look at the Tillamook cheesemaking room and packaging line! After you’ve seen how it’s all made, head to our sample counter for free bites of our tasty cheeses. Enjoy breakfast or lunch at our Creamery Café, and for dessert, indulge in decadent Tillamook Fudge and a scoop (or three!) of extra creamy Tillamook Ice Cream on a freshly baked waffle cone.

  • Cape Meares Lighthouse

    Tillamook, Oregon 97141

    Just 10 miles west of Tillamook and U.S. Hwy 101 this lighthouse stands 217 feet above the ocean and at 38-foot it is the shortest on the Oregon coast. Located near Three Capes Scenic Loop, Cape Meares was constructed in 1888. Visitors can take various trails to reach the lighthouse, as well as viewing areas with Stellar Sea Lions and various seabirds.

    La Tea Da is a place to go in Tillamook for tea parties, events and leisurely mornings or afternoons with a tea and cake. Customers can come enjoy tea and scones while crafting or discussing literature with authors, or they can reserve tea parties for groups of nine or more adults. The tea room also offers tea parties for children with tea, scones, desserts and tea sandwiches. After a cuppa and a treat, customers can peruse the gift shop for souvenirs and presents. La Tea Da Tea Room is a mother-and-daughter-owned business with a staff of other family members and friends, as well as youth who are gaining work experience.
