Oregon Beach Bill 50th Anniversary BioBlitz

Come explore Oregon’s coastal waters while celebrating 50 years of publicly accessible beaches.  Participants will enjoy a weekend of citizens science activities aimed at helping local scientists better catalogue and monitor the species of the region.


May 26th, Friday (4:00pm-5:00pm) Sea star wasting disease presentation at the Cape Perpetua Visitor center.

May 27th, Saturday (8:00am—12:00pm)

Meeting at Cape Pepetua Visitor Center for short training and location assignments before bioblitz begins.

May 28th, Sunday (9:00am—2:00pm)

Meeting at Cape Perpetua Visitor Center for location assignmnets, followed by picnic at Neptune state park.

This program is free. Bring your waterproof shoes, raincoat, binoculars, water and snacks.
