Setting the Right Tone
I don’t get to go to the beach very often with my two kids and boyfriend but when we do get to go it’s lots of fun. I remember when we stayed at the Sand Dollar Inn (Gold Beach) we were like the only guests staying there I think. We wanted a room with a queen size bed and a view. They upgraded us to a room with a view, a king size bed, a fireplace and a kitchen for no extra charge. That set the tone right there and my kids were so excited to be there. I have a 3 and 1 year old who were only 2 and 11 months at the time of our visit. My daughter Laurens first trip to the beach was a blast. She got to pick up sea shells and look out and see the ocean and sit next to the fireplace and have clam chowder; it was the best time we ever had as a family.
